As Britt Baker Prepares To Leave, AEW Star Mocks Her In Fresh Drama

Britt Baker at AEW All In

AEW’s Britt Baker is heavily rumored to join WWE, perhaps before this year draws to a close.

Baker is an AEW Original, with a Women’s World Championship reign in her resume. Unfortunately, it seems there is not much left for her to do in the promotion, and that bridges have been burned.

Britt Baker Shares Another Supposedly Subtle Dig at AEW, Queen Aminata Claps Back

The rumors are swirling online that Baker just wants to leave AEW, and Tony Khan is not willing to release her, especially with WWE Evolution 2 fast approaching.

Baker shared another cryptic post on Instagram recently, about how something’s value will change in a different environment. Her example of a water bottle’s price changing, depending on where it’s sold—supermarket, gym, movies, and plane, was seemingly referenced by Queen Aminata.

The AEW star responded on X with a picture of her holding a $6 water bottle, which many see as a clear shot at Baker:

Britt Baker has been part of the AEW team since the company’s inception in 2019. Prior to her finding considerable success in professional wrestling, Baker was a dentist. As she seeks an early exit from AEW, perhaps WWE might just be her final destination.

Baker has not wrestled since AEW Dynamite on November 13, 2024, where she defeated Penelope Ford in just under 9 minutes. This was only her fifth match last year. Baker, 34, while a fan-favorite on-screen, has faced several controversies behind the scenes for much of her career.

As for Baker and AEW’s head honcho Tony Khan, they have remained friends for a long time, but it’s not clear how her current issues backstage have impacted their relationship.
