Tony Khan has revealed that former WWE Superstar Ariya Daivari is set to make his AEW debut on Rampage.
Writing on Twitter, AEW President Tony Khan announced that Ariya Daivari will make his AEW debut against the high-flying Dante Martin on Rampage.
Martin is coming off the back of another impressive showing on AEW Dynamite, where alongside his coach/tag team partner Lio Rush, the pair overcame Matt Sydal and Lee Moriarty.
Khan noted that Martin will be without Rush on Rampage due to the recent death of his grandmother.

Ariya Daivari first appeared on WWE’s radar back in 2013, before signing with the company after competing in the Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. In the tournament Daivari was eliminated in the first round.
Daivari’s pursuit of the Cruiserweight Championship led him to 205 Live where he remained until he was released by the company on June 25th 2021. He was released alongside a number of other 205 Live and NXT Superstars such as Tyler Breeze, Fandango and Tony Nese.
Former Cruiserweight Champion Nese has also recently joined AEW, making is debut on AEW Dark.
Since leaving WWE, Ariya Daivari has appeared for NJPW Strong where he was defeated by Alex Zayne in singles action. He later teamed with Lio Rush where the pair lost out to Chris Bey and El Phantasmo.
Also announced for Rampage, Bobby Fish will take on Jungle Boy, while Orange Cassidy meets Matt Hardy in a Lumberjack Match.
