Anthony Bowens believes that wrestling fans need to stop jumping to conclusions.
With All Out taking place just 7 days after All In, fans were left to speculate how AEW would follow their biggest show ever upon returning to the United States.
With nearly the full card announced on the following episode of Dynamite, fans were very critical of the card, with lack of star power and minimal build to matches being some of the most common complaints.
While the card looked underwhelming to some, many would say that the matches that took place at All Out were surprisingly good and the show was enjoyable as a whole.
Taking to social media, the Trios Champion put out a plea to the fanbase to wait until a pay-per-view is over to give feedback:
This is the 4567th time people complained leading up to a show and as per usual @AEW DELIVERS and then some. When are we gonna learn here? #AEWAllOut
A response was then given that stated that fans are mad because they know that the promotion is capable of producing better content. Bowens would respond to this by admitting that he wished his match did have more build but also that fans should not be criticising who is on the card before the bell has rung:
Hi! I barely ever comment on stuff like this but to clarify, I just hop on here sometimes and my timeline is full of “this whole ppv is shit” without even watching the finished product yet. I relate to this bc last year I was FLOODED with why tf are The Acclaimed in this tag title match? Only a week of build? This match will suck! But then it ended up being a match people are still talking about. Of course a 3 month build to it would have been amazing in theory but just give things a chance first. If the show sucks, then have at it after.
I thank you for having high standards and there’s nothing wrong with wanting better but I’m saying if you CHOOSE to spend your hard earned money on us (especially two weeks in a row) our locker room is full of INCREDIBLE performers that won’t let you down. “Great build” or not. We prove it every ppv. But that’s it for this, I’m moving on now..much love and enjoy your week!
Bowens was not the only one to hit back at fans, as John Silver also addressed the criticisms on social media.
Did Anthony Bowens Wrestle At AEW All Out?
Following The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn capturing the Trios Championships at All In, a title defence against Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh was announced for the All Out pre-show. Accompanied to the ring by Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman, the champions would retain their titles in Chicago.
Despite being one-third of the Trios Champions, Bowens has stated that he wants to go after the top prize.
