Ahead of the March 20th edition of WWE Raw, it had been announced that Carmella would team with Chelsea Green to take on Asuka and Bianca Belair.
However, Carmella was absent and replaced by Piper Niven. Carmella’s absence wasn’t addressed on the show, leaving fans questioning what is going on.
A new report from Fightful Select has revealed that the star was also pulled from live events across the weekend prior to the show. This led to the decision to replace her on Raw, despite the company wanting to continue the storyline between her and Green.
There is currently no word on why Carmella is out of action.
Carmella only returned to WWE in late January after getting injured at a WWE live event back in August 2022. While the star was initially kept out of the ring due to the suspected concussion, she heart-breakingly revealed in October that she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
Bray Wyatt To Miss WWE WrestleMania 39?
Another Superstar who looks increasingly likely to miss WrestleMania is Bray Wyatt. The star has been absent in recent weeks due to an undisclosed illness, although the issue wasn’t expected to keep him out long-term. However, Raw came and went without any mention of Wyatt or his planned WrestleMania opponent Bobby Lashley.
This led to reports that the star could now miss WrestleMania altogether.
Bray Wyatt has only wrestled once on WWE television since returning to the company in October. On that occasion, Wyatt defeated LA Knight in the divisive Mountain Dew Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble.
In fact, the former World Champion has only wrestled 12 times since April 2021.
