Another WWE Star Becomes Free Agent

Several WWE Superstars have chosen to let their contracts expire and become free agents.

On June 1st the company found itself without one of its biggest stars when Becky Lynch became a free agent when her contract expired.

Prior to her free agency, it was reported that Lynch wanted to take an extended leave from the company to spend more time with her family.

Veteran Natalya is also fast approaching the end of her contract and has been presented with a new deal but is yet to sign.

It is also reported that Chad Gable is nearing the end of his contract while the inaugural WWE Speed Champion, Ricochet is set to become a free agent in the summer.

Who is the latest WWE Superstar to become a free agent?

According to Fightful Select, the latest Superstar to leave the company is the artist formerly known as Reggie/Reginald/Scrypts. The former four time 24/7 Champion’s contract has reportedly expired and the company chose not offer him a new deal and he is no longer employed by the company.

The star joined WWE in 2020 and debuted as Carmella’s sommelier Reginald during her feud with Sasha Banks. A brief run as the manager of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler was followed by a singles run under the name Reggie.

He went on to win the 24/7 Championship before heading to NXT under a new masked highflyer gimmick Scrypts. However, this was shortlived after he was unmasked by Axiom and revealed to be Reggie.

As Reggie he began managing the new duo of Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, turning heel and creating the stable Out The Mud (O.T.M.)

Since his departure, he has been taking independent bookings under the name Sidney Akeem.
