A popular WWE star is now expected to undergo a name change.
Update: In a new update shared by Fightful Select, it was noted that the Kalyx name was meant for referee Jessika Carr, who reportedly wrestled under a mask during the recent tapings for WWE Evolve. Ahead of turning into a full-time WWE referee, Carr wrestled in the indies between 2011 and 2017 under the names Kennadi Brink and Jessie Kaye. She also made an appearance on NXT in 2017 under the name Kennedy Lewis.
Recently, after reports emerged about a trademark filing by WWE, rumors started about this popular star undergoing a name change. A part of the company for the past three years, Sol Ruca is currently involved in a partnership with Australian star, Zaria. A popular name on the NXT roster, Zaria and Ruca have currently been exploring the tag-team division.
The promotion has recently started airing vignettes of Ruca and Zaria bonding, and sharing each other’s interests. As per reports, Ruca is now expected to undergo a name change, and a recent trademark filing suggests the same.
WWE recently filed to trademark the new ring name ‘Kalyx’ with the USPTO, with the following description:
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
Sol Ruca, whose real name is Calyx Hampton, may adopt the ring name ‘Kalyx’, which is consistent with a pattern of using names one letter removed from her partner Zaria’s real name (Daria).
New Contract Update On Former TNA Star Jordynne Grace’s Current WWE Status
Making her presence felt on Vengeance Day PLE last weekend, Jordynne Grace later confirmed her presence on NXT going forward. Recently on the 18th February episode of NXT, Grace was seen involved in a six-woman tag-team match alongside Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer against Fatal Influence.
However, despite her current run on the Tuesday night show, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the former Knockout’s Champion is currently under a main-roster deal. Reportedly, Grace’s NXT debut reflects a strategic creative decision, intended to refine her abilities before her jump to the main roster.
Despite prior appearances on NXT, Grace’s official WWE debut as a roster member was during the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble. Following a defeat at Genesis 2025 against Tessa Blanchard, Grace jumped ships to World Wrestling Entertainment.
