Another WWE Main Roster Star Makes Shock NXT Return

WWE NXT

Following reports WWE’s main roster stars would continue to appear in NXT, one of Monday Night Raw’s biggest names headed back to the brand to send a message.

On the June 26th episode of Raw, Carmelo Hayes made his in-ring debut on the red brand after getting involved in the issues between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. This resulted in Hayes taking on Balor later in the show. Although it was Balor who won the match, Hayes pushed the former Universal Champion with an impressive showing under the bright lights of the main roster for the first time.

Unsurprisingly, Judgment Day was less than impressed with Hayes getting involved in “their business” and Rhea Ripley took a trip to NXT to send a warning to Hayes telling him:

“The next time you boys want to jump into our business, you’ll become our business,”

The Women’s World Champion was later seen backstage walking past a fallen Jacy Jayne after she’d been attacked by Taya Valkyria, who Ripley dubbed a “badass.”

Top WWE Stars To Continue Appearing In NXT

In recent weeks a number of main roster stars have moved back to NXT either for more permanent runs or short cameos such as Ripley. The most successful of these appearances came on June 20th when Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Title against Bron Breakker and gave the brand a significant ratings boost along the way.

It has since been reported that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler could also head to the developmental brand with their Women’s Tag Team Titles.
