Another WWE Legend Returning For Evolution 2.0

WWE Evolution 2

WWE Evolution 2.0 is just a few weeks away.

In less than a month, World Wrestling Entertainment is again set to host its women’s exclusive premium live event, Evolution 2.0. The PLE last took place in 2018 and was headlined by Nikki Bella and Ronda Rousey. Now, almost seven years later, the show is all set to be back again.

With several big appearances expected during the event, including the return of Vickie Guerrero, WrestleVotes Radio recently reported the potential return of another WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus.

WrestleVotes Radio noted that the Stamford-based promotions had plans to reveal Stratus’ Evolution return during the June 13 episode of SmackDown. It further updated that the announcement and graphics were scheduled to air ahead of John Cena’s second promo that night. Unfortunately, while that plan was scrapped, the return is still on the cards for Stratus’ Evolution involvement.

Stratus was a part of the inaugural Evolution event in 2018, where she and Lita beat Mickie James and Alicia Fox in the second match of the night.

Major Championship Match Announced For Upcoming WWE PLE

A few weeks ago, Jacy Jayne defeated Stephanie Vaquer to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. However, soon after, a new number contender tournament was announced with the winner set to face Jayne for the title at Evolution 2.0.

Earlier this week, on the June 24 episode of NXT, Jordynne Grace overcame three other women to book her match against Jayne for the June 13 PLE in Atlanta, Georgia.
