A WWE Hall of Famer could be making an appearance at this weekend’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
The 38th Royal Rumble will take place on February 1st and will officially kick off the road to WrestleMania. Due to the rich history of the event and the possibility of surprise entrants in both of the matches, legends could also be set to appear on the show along with stars from NXT and potentially TNA.
As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Kurt Angle has told those close to him that the company has contacted him regarding the upcoming event. It is also stated in the report that it is unknown whether the participation is “something specifically about the Royal Rumble match, or an additional appearance.”
It should be noted that following the Hall of Famer’s retirement match in 2019, Angle has repeatedly stated in interviews that due to years of wear and tear, he is no longer able to wrestle.
Angle will be in Indianapolis on the day of the event as he is one of many guests appearing at WrestleCon.
Another WWE Hall Of Famer To Appear At Royal Rumble?
With multiple legends and Hall of Famers in town for WrestleCon and associated appearances, there is a high chance that veterans could be spotted in the crowd or even be added to one of the respective matches. According to a previous report, another major name is being discussed for an appearance in the WWE Royal Rumble.
Although surprises are expected in the Royal Rumble, one top TNA name won’t be appearing.
