Although most of AEW’s PPV talk has been on All In at Wembley Stadium or Forbidden Door in Toronto, there’s actually another important event much sooner: Double or Nothing, which takes place next Sunday May 28th, will have six title matches, including a new one that was added on this week’s episode of Dynamite.
During the show, current reigning and defending TBS Champion Jade Cargill won her 58th consecutive match and continued her undefeated streak.
After squashing a wrestler named Dani B, Cargill found herself in a sudden open challenge match. But that one ended the same way as Cargill made short work of her second challenger, a woman named Jennacide.
Feeling confident, Cargill wanted yet another challenger, but this time found a much tougher competitor in Taya Valkyrie, who attacked Cargill right away.
Taya then showed she meant business by hitting Cargill with her finisher, which is also the same move that Cargill has chosen as her finisher.
.@thetayavalkyrie didn't just answer the TBS Open Challenge, she made a STATEMENT and issued a HUGE challenge to TBS Champion @Jade_Cargill!

Shortly after this attack ended, the announcement was made official: Jade Cargill will defend her TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie at Double or Nothing.
Cargill looks to continue her undefeated streak at AEW Double or Nothing
As of this writing, Cargill’s undefeated streak has increased to 61-0. Of those matches, 28 have been TBS Championship title defenses.
Aside from Vaklyrie, Cargill has also retained her title against the following women: Athena, Willow Nightingale, Marina Shafir, Madison Rayne, Skye Blue, Billie Starkz, and many others.
The only match of her career that could technically be considered a loss was at AEW All Out 2021 when Cargill failed to win the Casino Battle Royale.
