Another Major IMPACT Star’s Contract Set To Expire

IMPACT Wrestling could continue its rebuild for a new era as the contract of another stalwart star seems to be coming to an end.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Moose’s contract is set to expire sometime this month. The former World Champion was re-signed two years ago by the company, but no word yet as to if the two parties are in negotiations to keep him. If Moose were to make his exit from IMPACT, he’d join Jordynne Grace as another talent to leave the promotion despite their strong strong association with the brand.

Moose was a major player featured during the pandemic era of IMPACT and did happen to be one of the big opponents for Kenny Omega during The Cleaner’s championship stint with the company.

Does Moose Have Other Interest Outside Of IMPACT?

When Moose initially re-signed a new deal with IMPACT back in the summer of 2021, the star did tell Fightful that he garnered some interest from WWE. A heavy advocate of his was reportly Canyon Ceman, but he is no longer employed by WWE. Reports indicated that Vince McMahon dragged his feet on something ever happening between Moose and WWE, but the big man may be getting a second shot if he does decide not to re-sign with IMPACT. Back during a 2021 interview with Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes, Moose made clear he had a simple goal in mind as he continued his career.

“I’m still building that legacy. Just be a good enough talent and stay out of trouble outside of the ring and the rest will take care of itself.”

There’s no doubt that Moose fits the prototype of what McMahon or even Triple H are looking for in a talent. Not only does he have the body builder physique, but he’s got the in-ring acumen and the athletic pedigree to boot.
