Another International WWE event might be on its way.
For the past few years, WWE has heavily capitalized on its International events, shows, tours, and PLEs. With events in Puerto Rico, Canada, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and several European countries, the wrestling promotion has taken a much more global route.
Earlier this year, award-winning music artist Bad Bunny hyped up the fans when he teased a Backlash Mexico show. A couple of years ago, Backlash took place in Puerto Rico, then in France, and this year it’s scheduled to take place in St. Louis, Missouri. Later this year. With a few international events planned until next year, reports emerged about one taking place in Mexico in 2026.
A recent edition of SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A noted that a Mexican PLE is currently being “heavily discussed.”
“Mexico has been discussed heavily. I don’t know if it’s official. The London thing is always there. They’re always wanting shows. They always put themselves out there to get big shows. Look, WWE is gonna go where they make the most money. Internationally has been selling out just as much as domestic.”
