Another major title match is set for WWE Raw‘s Netflix premiere on January 6th.
On January 23rd, news broke that Monday Night Raw would be leaving USA Network and moving to Netflix in 2025. Not only that, Netflix will be the home to the company’s premium live events internationally, marking huge changes for the WWE Network outside of the United States.
In August, it was confirmed that Raw would officially debut on Netflix on January 6th, 2025, and hype for the debut is ramping up. Triple H recently shared behind the scenes footage to help promote the Netflix partnership, and it’s also been confirmed that John Cena will be a part of the January 6th Raw debut. Roman Reigns is set to wrestle a rare TV match for the occasion, and multiple WWE legends including The Rock are expected to be involved with the show.
In recent news, a WWE executive spoke about how the company’s relationship with Netflix will influence their international show schedule.
Women’s World Championship Match Set For 1/6 WWE Raw
Match announcements are also starting to come to the forefront, with CM Punk set to take on Seth Rollins in the main event of the show. The first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion is set to be crowned on January 6th, and now another title match has been added to the lineup. At the WWE Raw on Netflix Kickoff event on December 18th, it was announced that Liv Morgan will defend her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley on the show.
Morgan and Ripley have been at odds for the majority of 2024, and Morgan has been champion for over 200 days, having won the title when she defeated Becky Lynch at King & Queen of the Ring back in May.
Also at the event, a top WWE star fired an insult at CM Punk.
