Giovanna Angle has lifted the lid on the monster security operation which took place at WrestleMania 38 to keep the event running smoothly.

While WrestleMania 38 was billed as the “most stupendous” two nights in the events long history, it has now emerged that there was a security operation behind the scenes to match.

As fans and media from across the globe descended on Dallas, Texas to get a glimpse of the event, even those familiar with WWE’s travelling circus were impressed by the security measures in place.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Wives of Wrestling podcast, Giovanna Angle paid tribute to everyone who worked to keep fans and perfumers safe over the weekend. The wife of WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, described some of the action taken by police at the event.

“We were in the back of the golf cart trying to find our car, and people do some crazy sh*t outside after ‘Mania. It was the coolest frickin’ day. But they were like talking to us. And there was like three snipers on top of the building. Because there was bomb dogs like smelling every car that was going in, and we’re like, Oh, that’s cool. Asking questions. He’s like, ‘Yeah, they were having these guns’ we’re like ‘those sniper guns?’ and they are like, No, the sniper guns are on top of that building right there. And we looked up, and there was three snipers just like that,”

Night one of WrestleMania 38 was headlined by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kevin Owens, with the former returning to the ring for the first time in 19 years. WrestleMania Saturday also saw the WWE return of Cody Rhodes.

Meanwhile, night two was headlined by the huge clash between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, but not before Austin had delivered one more Stunner on Vince McMahon.

It was recently reported that WrestleMania 38 proved to be a bigger event that the Super Bowl, in terms of social media numbers and interaction.
