According to Wrestling Inc, former NXT and WWE United States Champion Andrade is to undergo a minor elective procedure and will be absent from WWE television for a month.
The procedure is the official reason that Andrade was not drafted to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown in the recent 2020 WWE Draft. Along with Mickie James, the talent is officially a free agent until he returns to the company.
In hindsight, Andrade’s recent run of bad luck has been to slowly write him out of WWE’s product, including the dissolution of his tag team and recent singles outings with Angel Garza, his professional break-up with Zelina Vega and the brace of Sister Abigails both he and Vega received from ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss this past Monday on Raw.
Following his exit, Andrade was at the epicenter of controversy when he posted a thank you message to Zelina Vega for all the years and memories they shared from NXT to the present day. The tweet caused fans to jump to all sorts of conclusions including that Andrade was walking away from the company altogether.
While Andrade’s free agency has fueled rumours about where he will land once he returns to WWE, the talent recently tweeted a photo of himself as NXT Champion furthering the speculation that he will return to the black and gold brand.
