Former NXT and WWE United States Champion Andrade has sparked rumours that a return to the black and gold brand is imminent.
Andrade, who has been out of action and away from WWE television since October 2020, took to his Twitter account on February 18 in order to tease fans with a possible return to NXT upon his comeback to the company.
While the post was wordless, it did include a picture of his NXT Championship victory over Drew McIntyre at NXT TakeOver: WarGames on November 18, 2017, as well as three fist emojis which sparked much speculation around the wrestling world.

Andrade disappeared from World Wrestling Entertainment following the October 12, 2020, Monday Night Raw when he fell to Angel Garza in singles competition and then he and Zelina Vega were ambushed by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss who hit the pair with a double Sister Abigail.
Following Andrade’s departure it was revealed that the star had chosen to step away from his current role on the red brand in order to undergo a minor elective procedure. The absence officially made him a free agent – as to which WWE brand he can compete for – which now makes a potential return to NXT possible.
Should the Mexican sensation choose to return to his old stomping ground then he will follow in the footsteps of Ember Moon, Mercedes Martinez, Finn Balor and more who came home after finding little success on WWE’s main roster.
