Andrade Confirms He Has No Non-Compete Clause Following Release

Following Andrade’s WWE release, it was reported that the former WWE United States Champion is not subject to a non-compete clause and could appear in another wrestling ring immediately. Those reports have now been confirmed by Andrade himself.

Posting on Twitter, the former NXT Champion confirmed the report by Dave Meltzer.

“Start my new goals and we are in talks, no waiting for 90 days.”

The original report from Dave Meltzer stated that Andrade’s release does not include a 90-day non-compete clause.

“Sources close to the situation confirm that Andrade’s release from WWE does not include a 90-day non-compete, so he would be able to start taking dates immediately.”

Andrade was released on March 21st, with the news breaking shortly after WWE’s Fastlane pay-per-view. Andrade would tweeting “good news” with the hashtags “tranquillo” and “happy” during the event, before WWE confirmed Andrade’s release. In his first tweet following the news, the former United States Champion would thank his fans for the support, as well as the talent and workers who were kind to him – as well as Triple H, William Regal and Paul Heyman.

“I want to thank @TripleH, @HeymanHustle and@RealKingRegal for all these years and great support that they gave me all these years also to the fans who were always supporting me, a big hug to all the talent and workers who always behaved kindly to me.”
