It has been reported that Andrade was not present backstage at the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW.
The update comes via pwinsider.com who stated:
“For those who have asked, we are told Andrade was not backstage at Monday Night Raw today.”
It was first reported on March 12th that the Mexican star had requested his release, with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter later reporting that his request had been denied.
Andrade initially sparked the wrestling rumour mill into life my removing all references to WWE from his Twitter handle and social media profiles, simply referring to himself as “wrestler.” He later posted an update which read ““If you don’t like where you are, move you are not a tree.”
The man formerly known as Andrade “Cien” Almas joined WWE surrounded by much fanfare in 2015 having enjoyed significant success in his homeland and in Japan. The third generation star in tandem with Zelina Vega aka Thea Trinidad, who is also no longer with the company, won the NXT Championship in 2017. He would eventually debut on the main roster the following year.
Andrade hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the time of the latest WWE draft in November 2020.
