Former NXT Champion Andrade has reportedly asked for his release from WWE.
It had previously been noted that Andrade had removed all references to WWE from his social media, including from his Twitter handle. He now simply lists himself as “wrestler” in his Twitter bio.
Wrestling Inc have since reported on their social media that they have learned that Andrade asked for his release from WWE at the latest RAW tapings.

Meanwhile Andrade has taken to his own social media adding to the speculation by posting a photo of himself with the caption “Camina Walk!!” He also posted an update which reads “If you don’t like where you are, move you are not a tree.

The reports of Andrade’s release have since been corroborated by talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
In addition, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted that Andrade’s request was denied.
Charlotte Flair who has been engaged to the former WWE United States Champion since January 2020, recently revealed that she had pitched an Angle to WWE which would have seen the couple work together on television.
The man formerly known as Andrade “Cien” Almas joined WWE surrounded by much fanfare in 2015 having enjoyed significant success in his homeland and in Japan. The third generation star in tandem with Zelina Vega aka Thea Trinidad, who is also no longer with the company, won the NXT Championship in 2017. He would eventually debut on the main roster the following year.
Andrade hasn’t been seen on WWE television since the time of the latest WWE draft in November 2020.
