AEW Star Andrade El Idolo has hinted that he is looking for a new member of La Faccion Ingobernable following the recent ejection of Dragon Lee.
The biggest news coming out of the August 17th edition of AEW Dynamite was the much-anticipated return of Kenny Omega. The former AEW World Champion was revealed as the Young Bucks’ partner in the World Trios Championship tournament.
However, after the reunited Elite defeated Andrade El Idolo’s La Faccion Ingobernable to move to the next round, things took another turn. Seemingly blaming Dragon Lee for the loss, Andrade laid out the star with a Hammerlock DDT, aided by Lee’s own brother, Rush.
El Idolo later explained that there was no room for people who are unable to break the rules in his group and that was why Dragon Lee had to go.
Since then, there has been speculation of LFI getting a new member to replace Lee, with some calling from Andrade El Idolo’s old friend and partner in CMLL and the founder of the Japanese offshoot of Los Ingobernables, Tetsuya Naito, to come over.
Responding to Inside The Ropes’ own Craig Ballantyne on Twitter, El Idolo suggested that he could indeed bring Naito in for a trios match.
He then revealed that he has set Jose The Assistant the task of finding a new member of LFI who could team with him and Rush in a dream match against Naito’s Los Ingobernables de Japon.
“Maybe my friends naito, Rush and me vs ?????? Or @JoseAssistant has a job and he is looking for a new talent with the ideal characteristics to be part of the best Faction INGOBERNABLE RUSH, ANDRADE AND NEW INGOBERNABLE 🤔 vs Los Ingobernables de japon.”

However, although many fans would like to see the match happen, Andrade previously stated in June that he’s not allowed to work for NJPW.
Mexican promotion CMLL currently has a working relationship with NJPW, while in his home country Andrade El Idolo competes for CMLL’s competitors AAA. It appears it is this that is proving the stumbling block to Andrade being able to work with NJPW.
