Amid Liv Morgan’s Injury, New WWE Champion Officially Named; Huge Evolution Match Announced On Raw

WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez head to the ring at WrestleMania 41

Liv Morgan’s recent injury has brought forward a new official WWE champion.

A few weeks ago, during her match against Kairi Sane on WWE RAW, Liv Morgan suffered a critical shoulder injury. Now sidelined for an undisclosed period, Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez’s tag titles faced a questionable status.

However, after several weeks of dilemma, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh tonight came up with a solution for the management. The duo suggested Judgment Day’s new member, Roxanne Perez, as Morgan’s official replacement. After an initial moment of thought, Pearce and Nick Aldis readily accepted the proposal.

However, both the General Managers also added a major stipulation to their next title defense. New tag-team champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez are now set to defend their titles against a team from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT in a Fatal Four-Way clash on July 13 at Evolution II PLE.

While Morgan recovers from her setback, The Judgment Day crowned two new champions tonight, with all five active members now draped in gold.

Update On Liv Morgan’s WWE Return

On the June 16 episode of RAW, Liv Morgan suffered a shoulder dislocation during her match against Kairi Sane. Scheduled to be out for “several months,” a major update emerged on Morgan’s return to the promotion.

Kevin Wilk recently announced via Instagram his involvement in Liv Morgan’s shoulder rehabilitation, expressing confidence in her improved return. The physical therapist further confirmed that Morgan had already undergone surgery by Dr. Jeff Dugas of Andrews Sports Medicine.
