In the main event of WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes took on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
In the lead-up to the title bout, Rhodes declared his desire to win the championship in an ode to his father, the legendary Dusty Rhodes.
Due to the emotional family-inspired storyline, it wasn’t surprising to see Rhodes’ wife, daughter, sister and mother in the front row. Joining them was a very special guest, the son of the late great Brodie Lee, Brodie Lee Jr.
During the entrance, Rhodes embraced his family and presented his commemorative weight belt to Lee Jr who had a replica American Nightmare tattoo on his neck.
Taking to social media, Lee Jr’s mother, Amanda Huber shared her response to the emotional moment between the two.
I need to invest in better waterproof makeup.
Finish the story Cody ❤️
Upon further reflecting on the tear-inducing scene, Huber added:
I am legitimately crying
The way he looks at him.
The way they look at each other.
Words cant express how special @CodyRhodes is to us.
He made Brodie safe on the worst day of his life.
I can never ever repay his love or friendship.
