Alpha Academy, who are scheduled to be in action at WrestleMania, were apparently pulled from Raw just days before the big event in Dallas.
The team of Chad Gable and Otis were apparently pulled from the 28th of March edition of Monday Night Raw despite being advertised to compete on the show. Original advertising had Alpha Academy slated to face off with The Stree Profits and according to Fightful Select that match was still on the Raw run sheet at 7 pm ET. It was believed the match was originally going to take place after Brock Lesnar’s segment to open the show.
Alpha Academy are still scheduled to challenge RK-Bro along with The Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championship on Night 2 of WrestleMania 38 and no reason has been given for Gable and Otis apparently being pulled from the show.
The team’s WrestleMania opponents were in action as Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro faced their SmackDown counterparts The Usos in the night’s main event. Randy Orton and Riddle picked up the win by disqualification after The Street Profits got involved. RK-Bro were able to subdue their challengers and stood tall as the show went off the air.
After the cameras stopped rolling Orton and Riddle were involved in one of the quickest dark matches ever as they took on the unlikely team of Austin Theory and Seth “Freaking” Rollins.
