A planned Bianca Belair segment on WWE SmackDown had to be scrapped.
The night two of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas began with one of the highest-acclaimed triple-threat matches of all time. Iyo Sky successfully defended her Women’s Championship in a hard-fought and close bout against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. However, following the five-star rated match, Belair broke her fingers and had to be sidelined.
Now, over a month’s absence, Bianca Belair finally made her return on the 30th May episode of SmackDown. Unfortunately, following her return, she would be threatened by her former partner, Naomi. Returning to her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, The EST was welcomed by a roaring crowd.
However, soon, according to a report by WrestleVotes, it was noted that her return did not take place the way it was supposed to. As per WrestleVotes on Twitter, as of 6 pm on Friday, Belair was set to make her entrance with the University of Tennessee marching band. Unfortunately, it did not happen, and the former champion made her entrance using her usual entrance theme.
However, a few years ago, in 2022, Belair entered WrestleMania 38 with the Texas Southern University marching band playing her to the ring.
Bianca Belair Reflects On Her WWE Journey
“From then to now…. My 1st tryout…I had no idea how to take a bump, I didn’t even know what a “bump” was let alone what a “promo” was… I was so nervous you can hear the quiver in my voice. I had no idea what I was doing. The only thing I knew how to do was be me, because there is only ONE ME and that was my way to stand out. Shoutout to Mark Henry.
So I wore my favorite rose outfit I made for a crossfit competition and showed that I may not come from this business, I may not know much but I will work my ass off and I will love and respect this business if I was given a chance. At 1st I always felt like I was stealing someone else’s dream so I threw myself whole heartedly into this.”
In other news: Stephanie Vaquer has officially joined the WWE main roster.
