Alexa Bliss made her surprise return to Monday Night Raw and defeated Sonya Deville in quick order!
In recent weeks, Sonya Deville has been accused of abusing her powers as a WWE authority figure, beginning with her declaring herself as number one contender to Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship. During their match on the April 25th Raw, Deville restarted the match multiple times with added stipulations in order to stack the deck against the champion, but Belair emerged victorious in the end.
On the May 9th episode of Monday Night Raw, Adam Pearce revealed that the investigation into Deville’s conduct had been completed. Despite Sonya adamantly insisting that she’s done everything by the book, Pearce informed her that while she is still a WWE Superstar, her contract as an authority figure was terminated.
Pearce then continued to say that Sonya Deville’s opponent for the night would be none other than former Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, who hasn’t been seen in WWE since competing inside the Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia. Bliss made her way to the ring carrying a Lilly doll, but she is no longer using her Alexa’s Playhouse theme music and has her hair down instead of in her signature pigtails.

Alexa Bliss hasn’t been seen on WWE television since competing inside the Elimination Chamber in the event of the same name in February. That bout was Bliss’ first since September 2021 after being defeated by Charlotte Flair.
In the weeks leading up to Elimination Chamber, the former Raw Women’s Champion returned to WWE television where she appeared in a number of backstage ‘therapy sessions’ in an effort to control her anger.
Bliss and Ryan Cabrera, who have been engaged since November 2020, celebrated their wedding last month and exchanged vows in a ceremony at Kempa Villa in Palm Desert, California on April 9th. The former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion danced with members of the band NSYNC at her reception that also featured performances from Bowling for Soup and Yellow Card.
Alexa Bliss’ return to Raw comes after The news comes after a Fightful Select report last month that states Bliss was frustrated with her creative direction within the company and voiced concerns following Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.
