Alexa Bliss will always be connected to Bray Wyatt in the WWE Universe. Wyatt tragically passed away while Bliss was on hiatus, just three months before she became a mother. The fan-favorite just opened up on one major skill she learned from the third generation legend, and one way she constantly keeps his memory alive.
WWE’s Five Feet of Fury recently reunited with The Bella Twins for an episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, titled Dropkicks and Diaper Bags. Bliss has never shared the ring with Brie Bella, but she and Nikki Bella have been in around 30 matches together, teaming just once at SummerSlam 2016. Nikki won their only singles match via DQ on SmackDown in October 2016.
After The Bella Twins praised Alexa Bliss for her current gimmick, she discussed how she learned a lot about character development from the man behind The Fiend mask, referring to him by his real name, Windham. She recalled when she was first brought into “the inner world of The Wyatts.” Bray had her watch various documentaries and movies to prepare, adding that he always had her watching or researching something.
Bliss said everything her character had done since she first started working with The Eater of Worlds has always had a purpose and a place, which makes it more fun and more intriguing in her eyes. In regards to the current Alexa Bliss character, the mother-of-one said the character development process involves lots of research and movies, and lots of working with her acting coach, Nacho.
Alexa Bliss Reveals Hidden Tribute To Bray Wyatt
Alexa Bliss opened up on working with the late Windham Rotunda, and their friendship, on the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show.
After explaining her character development and how the man known as Bray Wyatt introduced her to the process she’s currently using, Brie Bella commended her for keeping Wyatt’s spirit alive.
I love that it does feel like we all still get that spirit of Bray Wyatt, and so I love that, it’s just there’s… you know, because losing him was so hard, and it was so sad, but I love how you still bring his spirit to the stage. You can feel it, and it’s so great,” Brie said.
Bliss responded that she had a part of The Fiend’s attire on her ring skirt. She also showed The Bella Twins a bracelet, made out of his gear, which several other WWE Superstars also possess, to pay tribute to the late star.
“Thank you, thank you. That’s one of the things I try to always keep a part of it with me… and actually, I have a piece of his gear on my skirt. My skirt has a patch of his gear, and then we all have… I’ll grab it, one second [shows bracelet].
We all have these bracelets with his gear on it, and so this is the gear that’s also on my skirt, and you know, it’s how we do… how we… respect Windham’s vision and keep his memory alive without making it a tribute, making it more of like, ‘This is Alexa now, and this is part of her past that’s always going to be with her.’ But yeah, it’s one of my little prized possessions, this [shows bracelet],” Alex Bliss said.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair are currently in an alliance on the blue brand. WWE Evolution II on Sunday will see the SmackDown pair challenge the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez, in a Fatal 4-Way Match, which will also include a team from RAW and one from NXT.
