Alexa Bliss has taken to social media to respond to recent online criticism of her current character.
Through the summer of 2020 Alexa Bliss began to transition away from her established persona and into something far darker and more sinister. As the weeks rolled by, Bliss became seemingly enchanted by ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt before eventually joining forces with WWE’s resident supernatural psychopath.
After a lengthy partnership with Wyatt, it now appears that Bliss has split from the cult leader. With Wyatt missing from WWE television since the RAW after WrestleMania, Bliss has come into her own, developing her character further and introducing her demonic doll Lily.
In recent weeks, Bliss has evolved the character further, taking on a more aggressive in-ring style and debuting new ‘Goth Carnival’ style theme music.
However, while Bliss’ performance has been praised in some quarters, it has equally been derided in others.
Writing on Twitter, Bliss has now hit back at her critics, saying that she’s having fun doing what she’s doing.

The former RAW Women’s Champion’s comments come after Nikki Cross also faced criticism for her own new look. Ahead of teaming with Bliss on the most recent episode of RAW, Cross unveiled her new superhero inspired ring gear to the surprise of many watching at home.
The Scot later posted a heartfelt message on social media describing how debuting the new persona has given her unbelievable joy.
Back in the ring, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were victorious over Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. The victory means that both Bliss and Cross have qualified for the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
