Alexa Bliss made her much-awaited return at the 2025 Royal Rumble.
Entering the match as number 21 and lasting around 11 minutes, Bliss made her much-awaited return to the promotion after almost two years. However, toward the closing stages of the match, fans saw Liv Morgan eliminate the former champion.
The return even sparked a conversation amongst the announcer’s team about online reports on Bliss’ contract disputes. Earlier on the day of the PLE, PWInsider had noted that Bliss was at the arena and would be performing in the match.
However, Fightful Select soon reported that no other competitors in the match had any idea about Bliss’ return. Bliss was not present at the Friday rehearsals and Shotzi was originally scheduled for the spot. It further noted that people in the promotion were happy to see Bliss return, whereas some felt bad about how it turned out for Shotzi.
Following the return, early creative plans for Alexa Bliss have been revealed.
