Alexa Bliss hasn’t been seen on WWE television since losing her Raw Women’s Title match against Bianca Belair at the Royal Rumble.
In the weeks prior to that event, Alexa Bliss had begun showing a darker side of her personality, being confronted by Uncle Howdy and teasing that she might reunite with Bray Wyatt. These teases became especially clear when she snapped during a previous title match on Raw, attacking the referee and earning herself a disqualification before throwing Bianca Belair into both the ring post and ring steps.
In the weeks following the Royal Rumble, it was reported that Bliss was taking an extended hiatus, but despite not appearing on television for months, Bliss refuted those rumors.
Alexa Bliss Recently Underwent A Procedure For Skin Cancer
While Bliss hasn’t explained her absence from television, she did take to social media recently to share an update on her health after undergoing a dermatological procedure.
Posting on her Instagram story, Bliss showed off a bandage on her cheek with the caption:
“Dear younger me, You should have stayed out of tanning beds.
All clear now though! Thank you @americanskininstitute for taking great care of me!”
When a fan took to Twitter to express concern and wish the former champion well, Bliss responded, noting that she wouldn’t have a long recovery time after undergoing her procedure.
“Thank you! Don’t worry, short healing time. Always get your skin checked! Esp if you are in the sun or use tanning beds! Lol”

When another fan asked if there was a particular spot that caused concern, Bliss provided more information as to what she’d had taken care of, revealing that she had cancerous spots on her face. Thankfully, the cells have been removed successfully. Bliss reminded her fans of the importance of having their skin checked once more.
“There was a spot on my face yes- that had gotten worse. So went to get biopsy. Was basal cell carcinoma. During my procedure doc also found other squamous cells. Was a quick and easy procedure. Glad I always get my skin checked”

There is no word on whether or not Alexa Bliss’ WWE absence is related to this procedure, but everyone at Inside the Ropes sends the former champion our best wishes and congratulations on having the cancerous cells removed successfully.
