Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair’s Next WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Defense Confirmed

Alexa Bliss Charlotte Flair WWE Women's Tag Team Champions

The next opponents for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are confirmed.

On the September 9 episode of WWE NXT, General Manager Ava booked a triple threat elimination match between The Culling, Fatal Influence, and ZaRuca. The bout opened up with fierce attacks from all six women, fighting for early pin attempts. ZaRuca was first eliminated when Jazmyn Nyz capitalized on Sol Ruca’s mistimed Sol Snatcher and pinned Zaria. Fatal Influence and The Culling then battled until Izzi Dame delivered a sit-out spinebuster to Fallon Henley for the deciding fall.

This victory secured The Culling’s spot as the #1 contender for Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair’s tag titles. Bliss and Flair have defended their belts on both RAW and SmackDown since becoming champions. Both pairs boast fresh match-finishers, and neither will give ground easily. When the bell rings for the tag title match, one thing is guaranteed: it is going to deliver!

The tag team match between these four stars is scheduled for next week at NXT Homecoming, broadcasting live from Full Sail University. The champions captured the belts at SummerSlam and have since solidified themselves as one of WWE’s top women’s tag teams. Bliss brings her crafty offense and aerial agility, while Flair combines her power and tactical skills to maintain their reign. The Culling, on the other hand, has impressed with their teamwork and relentless tactics.

It would be interesting to see whether Flair and Bliss defend their title, or the enthusiastic team from NXT takes the gold.

The Surprise Cameos by WWE Stars on NXT

Apart from the tag title match between Bliss and Flair, there were a few moments that stunned the entire arena. Following the main event, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne picked up a mic and started berating Fatal Influence’s performance. She claimed that she was the only one who worked hard enough to reach her level. La Primera Stephanie Vaquer soon interrupted her, stunning the entire crowd, along with Booker T.

She talked about her victories in NXT while acknowledging Jayne’s efforts. She highlighted her being a dual champion, holding the NXT North American title and NXT Women’s title. Jayne, however, pointed out the number disadvantage and how Stratton and Vaquer are outdated NXT wrestlers, then the music hit, ‘This is My Brutality!’

Mami Rhea Ripley made her way to the ring. The Fatal Influence rushed out of the ring as the fans cheered for the main roster stars.
