Alexa Bliss Addresses Hometown Raw Absence

Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss took to social media to address her absence from the most recent Monday Night Raw that took place in her hometown of Columbus, OH.

After spending months in on-screen therapy on her journey back to Monday Night Raw, Alexa Bliss made her return to in-ring action at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia on February 19th. She was successful in making it to the final two participants, but ultimately failed to gain a Raw Women’s Championship opportunity when Bianca Belair was the winner of the match.

Because so much time was devoted to her return after being absent for months, fans in Columbus, OH were hoping to see their hometown hero on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. However, Alexa Bliss was nowhere to be seen on the program that featured Finn Balor winning the United States Championship and heel turns from both Damian Priest and WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

One particular fan tweeted that she felt bad for all the little girls dressed as Alexa Bliss that were hoping to welcome back their hometown hero, and Bliss replied that she hoped she would “be on Raw next time.”

In response to another fan asking where Bliss was during the Columbus episode of Raw, the Grand Slam Champion simply replied with a shrug emoji and the hashtag “#Where’s Alexa?”

While the reason for her absence is unclear, Bliss has also made it clear on social media that her absence wasn’t due to the bachelorette party she had over the weekend. The WWE star is currently engaged to musician Ryan Cabrera.

While the on-screen explanation for Alexa Bliss’ lengthy absence from television was that she was distraught after Charlotte Flair decimated her beloved doll Lilly, the actual reason for her taking time off was that the star needed to undergo sinus surgery.
