Aleister Black has spoken out about a potential storyline rivalry or even union with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt.
Every since the former NXT Champion was removed from the black and gold brand and placed on WWE’s main roster, a potential feud with Bray Wyatt’s alter ego has been at the top of every fan’s dream warfare thanks to the dark, gothic worlds both men inhabit.
Now, Black himself has touched on the possibility. In a recent interview Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Rick Ucchino, the WWE Superstar spoke out about his intense desire to to either go toe-to-toe with ‘The Fiend’ or join forces with the entity to form what would arguably be WWE’s deadliest faction:
“I’m willing to fight anyone. Like, I’m not someone who backs down. I’ve never backed down of anything. I took on AJ Styles and his goons a couple months ago all at the same time because, you know, that’s what they want. I don’t care if I get beat down, I’ll get back up. I’ll find a way. I’ve always been resilient and even for someone like Bray Wyatt, who is obviously a very ominous individual, you know, I feel at times we radiate the same energy. So whether that becomes the focus, of that same energy as a cooperation or an engagement, that remains to be seen. But I’m ready for it.”
Despite the overtones of the interview being conducted in character, the thought of a union between Black and Bray would make even the hardest to please devotee salivate.
Aleister Black wasn’t finished. In lieu of Bray Wyatt, he mentioned other wrestlers he would love to work with:
“I look at Damian Priest, and I can go, you know, I can compete with this guy. I can have matches with this guy. There’s not a singular person, other than perhaps maybe a Roman Reigns, where I would specifically target myself, other than everyone being a target.”
Unfortunately, a rivalry between Aleister Black and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt may have to be a continuous fantasy for now. In the 2020 WWE Draft, the latter was moved to the red brand while Black ended up on Friday nights well away from his desired target.
Currently, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt is embroiled in a rivalry with RETRIBUTION on Monday Night Raw, while Black was contesting a bitter dispute with Kevin Owens prior to the draft.
