Over the past few weeks, and months, we’ve witnessed a very different Aleister Black on RAW. From the violence and brutality Black has inflicted upon Kevin Owens to new music, to new attire – and even a black contact lens – the former NXT Champion looks set to walk a new path going forward in WWE. Sportskeeda‘s Rick Ucchino recently caught up with the man himself to ask all about those new aspects of his presentation, particularly the new music.
“I love it because it goes hand in hand with the new change. And, you know, the thing is like, you, you’ve only heard it once and you’ve not heard it in a complete setting. You’ve heard a rough version without the bells and whistles and the bells and whistles are very much coming.”
And according to Aleister Black, we haven’t even saw the half of it, as the former NXT Champion has urged a little patience from the fans who have been left wanting more.
“What you saw was 20 percent of what it was supposed to be in terms of what we were planning on doing. So, you know, give it, give it some time.”
What about the eye injury? Aleister Black suffered a similar fate as the legendary Rey Mysterio at the hands of Seth Rollins and Murphy – with the disciple driving his skull into steel steps. The move saw Black wearing a blindfold for several weeks, with the damaged eye now portrayed via black contact lens.
“I am rarely one to complain. I’m rarely one to see negatives in things, in that regard. So, obviously, you know, it was time for a change. And then obviously when my eye got pushed into the stairs, that was the change that I needed… We’ll see where that takes me.”
