Aleister Black has become the latest WWE Superstar to comment publicly on the release of Andrade from the company.
Reports originally stated that Andrade had asked for his release from WWE. The Mexican star took to social media to confirm that was the case saying:
“The rumors are true and I don’t know what the future holds but I want to make my dreams come true. thank you for giving me so much support these last days Los rumores son ciertos y no se lo que me prepara el futuro, pero quiero hacer realidad mis sueños. Gracias por tanto apoyo”
That news was followed by reports that WWE had agreed to release Andrade from his contract. Since then fellow WWE Superstars have paid tribute to the former La Sombra for his time in the company.
Andrade’s on-screen manager Thea Trinidad, known in WWE as Zelina Vega said the following:
“Since the moment I met you, I knew that you not only were an amazing person but also one of the most talented in this business and you’d be successful no matter what. I’m so grateful to know you, share these memories, and have a brother for life. Love you hermano #TranquiloForLife“
Now Andrade’s former on-screen rival and Trinidad’s husband Aleister Black has paid his own tribute on Twitter.
The man who defeated Andrade for the NXT Championship said:
“@AndradeElIdologoes synonymous with my WWE career. My 1st opponent & the opponent I won the belt from. From start to finish a total pro and in my opinion few have his footwork, ability to commit and execute in-ring techniques. Amigo, thank you for everything.”
Andrade replied to the kind words from Black, noting the Dutchman’s previous wrestling moniker:
“we will meet again in a ring in a few years, you are a great talent and a good friend. a big hug Tommy End”
