AJPW Star Yutaka Yoshie Passes Away Aged 50

All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Yutaka Yoshie tragically passed away following his latest match.

All Japan Pro Wrestling announced the news of Yutaka Yoshie’s passing on social media on March 10th, the star was only 50 years old. The post explained that Yoshie returned backstage after competing at that day’s show in Takasaki, but then had to be rushed to a nearby hospital where he sadly died.

The company later announced that the airdate of the show, originally set for March 11th, would be postponed.

Yutaka Yoshie, who was participating in the Takasaki tournament held today, passed away on March 10, 2024.

After Yutaka Yoshie returned to the waiting room after the game, his condition suddenly deteriorated and he was rushed to a hospital in Takasaki City, but he never returned home.

We would like to remember Yutaka Yoshie’s achievements during his lifetime and pray for his soul to rest in peace.

Yutaka Yoshie Was A prominent Freelance Star In Japan

Yoshie started his career in NJPW in 1994. During his time in the company, the star scored big wins over former IWGP Heavyweight Champions Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima as well as capturing the IWGP Tag Team Titles alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi.

In 2006, he decided to leave NJPW and became a freelancer, wrestling all around Japan in companies like Pro Wrestling NOAH and Pro Wrestling Zero1 as well as making occasional returns to New Japan. The star was also a regular in All Japan, where he held the promotion’s Tag Team Championship with Akebono.
