AJ Styles previously called himself ‘The Face That Runs The Place’ in WWE – but now he’s seemingly the face of colonoscopies!
Heralded as one of the greatest pro wrestlers in the world, AJ Styles currently finds himself in WWE, where he’s been for six-and-a-half years. ‘The Phenomenal One’ is a Triple Crown Champion in WWE, beginning his quest to greatness by winning the WWE Championship eight months after he first debuted.
It was during his first time as WWE Champion – and his legendary rivalry with John Cena – that Styles referred to himself as ‘The Face That Runs The Place’. He was logical to adopt the moniker, seeing as he was the face of the company at the time but away from the ring, it seems he may represent something entirely.
Twitter user @gphillips8652 posted a billboard that he spotted in Troy, Alabama, celebrating the recent 45th birthday of AJ Styles. In doing so, the billboard stated it was “time for his colonoscopy”, with a number to dial for digestive health specialists:

Another avid Twitter fan by the username of @belletobell posted a similar-looking billboard, advertising the exact same campaign while using John Cena as its face rather than his former WWE rival. Cena also celebrated his 45th birthday this year, doing so on 23 April. It’s not known where, exactly, the Cena billboard was, however.
Considering how old the promotional material used for both AJ Styles and John Cena was (the John Cena promo picture, in particular, looked to be from 2013 at least), it’s unlikely this was officially licensed through WWE. A lawsuit may be inbound as a result.
Beginning their rivalry on the 30 May 2016 broadcast of Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles and John Cena wrestled a handful of matches together. Their Money in the Bank, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble trilogy is among the best in modern WWE history, with all three contests came close to a coveted five-star rating from Dave Meltzer.
