AJ Lee reunited with a 7-time women’s champion after making her return to WWE last week.
Lee’s return was one of the most significant ones in recent years, considering she had stepped away from the business a decade ago and on multiple occasions expressed that she did not want to get back into the ring. Along with setting up her match, where she will likely team with husband CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins, the Black Widow also reunited with an old friend.
The former Divas Champion recently took to her Instagram to share a picture of her and Bayley on her story. The post highlighted the best moments of her comeback, along with Lee dedicating her current run to her fans who have supported her while she was away from in-ring action.

Like most fans, The Role Model was elated by Lee’s return. The two have been friends for a while, and the 7-time World Champion took to her X/Twitter to share a clip of the time The Black Widow had made her way to NXT.
In the clip, Bayley is seen approaching the then-Divas Champion and confessing that she was a big fan. She then proceeded to ask her if she could be her opponent, which the Divas Champion accepted. Bayley then makes the whole moment awkward by innocently telling AJ Lee about claims of people calling her “crazy.”
The clip ends with an awkward hug between the two, with The Role Model commenting that she would be friends with Lee even if she beats her for the Divas Championship. Bayley called the hug the best one of her life.

AJ Lee appears to be set in her feud, which is likely to take place at the upcoming WrestlePalooza PLE. Bayley has not been on TV recently; however, her vignettes are being aired, which tease her possibly embracing a darker persona.
