After AJ Lee, Former Women's Champion Hints At Joining Nikki Bella For WWE Return

Following the return of AJ Lee, Nikki Bella has expressed seeing two WWE legends return to the company as a dream.

In a heartfelt post on X/Twitter, former WWE Champion Nikki Bella shared her wish to see two of her closest friends back in the ring. She quoted “One can dream….” alongside a nostalgic snap of Brie Bella and Paige from a past episode of SmackDown. The image shows both wrestlers laughing backstage, while Brie looks at Paige. This image, along with the caption, has sparked excitement amongst fans, who have been waiting for the reunion of these legends.

Brie Bella, one-half of the iconic Bella Twins, last competed in WWE at the 30-woman Royal Rumble match in 2022, where she entered as the 19th entrant and was eliminated by the eventual champion Ronda Rousey. Paige, now known as Saraya, left WWE in 2018 after the company didn’t renew her contract. She then joined AEW in 2022, but has been inactive since October 2024.

Both women have left lasting marks on WWE history, with multiple title reigns and memorable matches against top talent. By reposting Nikki’s tweet and adding “OGs” with a red heart, Paige confirmed that she shares the same fond memories and hopes.

AJ Lee’s Recent Return to WWE Makes It Seem Nikki Bella’s Dream Could Turn Into Reality

AJ Lee retired from professional wrestling back in 2015 due to injuries and disappeared from the company for years. Fans and wrestlers waited many years for the legend to find her way back home, but for many, many years, she didn’t. Then, the 2023 Survivor Series return of CM Punk sparked rumors of Lee’s potential return. But again, nothing happened. Now, given the current storyline involving Punk, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch, Lee is back in the company.

Nikki Bella returned to the company at the 2025 Royal Rumble, where she entered as the 30th entrant and was eliminated by Nia Jax. Since then, she has been a significant part of the women’s division, from Evolution to the recent Clash in Paris PLE. Now, it would be interesting to see Lee and Bella collide during the shows and whether the return of Brie and Paige materializes or not.

Both Bella and AJ Lee will be present on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW.
