One NJPW star won’t put his belief in TNA’s Joe Hendry.
In recent weeks, Hendry has taken the wrestling world by storm. Back in May, the star released his theme song, ‘I Believe in Joe Hendry’ as an official single and it quickly reached number 4 in the official UK charts.
On the back of that success, the YouTube version of the song hit an astonishing 1 million views. It’s not only fans who believe in Hendry either, as multiple WWE stars have spoken of their admiration of the star. Xavier Woods has even asked to collaborate on a track with the former Digital Media Champion.
Despite the success though, not everyone is yet a believer. NJPW’s Shane Haste has posted on social media to say that, because of his agnostic beliefs, he can acknowledge that Hendry might exist, but refuses to put his belief in the star.
“While I acknowledge the possible existence of him, as an agnostic I don’t put my belief in Joe Hendry. Sorry.”

Haste currently holds the IWGP and STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles with his TMDK teammate Mikey Nicholls. He previously wrestled in WWE as part of RETRIBUTION under the name ‘Slapjack.’
WWE Officials Pleased With Joe Hendry’s NXT Debut
As part of WWE’s partnership with TNA, Joe Hendry made his NXT debut on June 18th as part of a 25-man Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for Trick Williams’ NXT Championship.
While Hendry was unable to win the bout, he did impress officials in the company, who are said to be “very happy” with his debut and the reaction from the audience, who all sang along with the star’s catchy theme.
