Chelsea Green was off social media for some time owing to the hateful messages and death threats she received from WWE fans. This was after she acknowledged the impact Hulk Hogan had in the pro wrestling business after Hogan’s death in late July.
There is a section of the fanbase who have a dislike towards the late legend due to his past comments that had racist undertones. Even though Green made her stance clear about racism, the fans supposedly did not take her honest comments in the spirit in which it was said.
But that is yesterday’s news. Chelsea Green is back on social media after a special appearance on WWE NXT.
Chelsea Green Returns To Social Media After WWE NXT Appearance
On August 5, Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice made a noteworthy appearance in NXT, backing North American Champion Ethan Page in a promo segment also featuring Tavion Heights. It almost ended in a disaster for the former Women’s United States Champion, as she urged Heights to hit her. He attacked Page instead, as Hervice saved her from the chaos in the ring.
Later on X, Green addressed her absence from social media for some time, even stating that she needs to “apologize” for being away. Chelsea also wrote extensively about what the future holds, claiming that she will regain the Women’s United States Championship and will have a continued presence on social media.
My fellow PatriHOTs, I, your CommandHER in Chief, need to apologize. For making your timelines suffer without me these past several weeks.
Your first ever (and next) Women’s United States Champion, star of episode 3 of WWE Unreal on Netflix and episode 127 of the 22nd season of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live sadly cannot be everywhere at once.
However, given my responsibility to you, my adoring SLAYgents, I’ve graciously decided to return. First, you’re welcome and second, no need to thank me. Going forward, my directHER of Social Media will have a presence on this account alongside myself as we continue to paint this app and the entire WWE Universe, Red White and Green!” Green wrote on X.
