Another WWE Superstar is set to depart the company after his contract ends.
In a potential blow for The Judgment Day, a member of the group is set to leave the WWE. As first reported by PWInsider, Carlito will quit the company again as they will not be renewing his contract once it expires. This is a similar scenario to R-Truth, who also shared about his status with the WWE.
Carlito made his debut in 2003 and had an instant impact by beating John Cena for the United States Championship. He has also been a tag team and Intercontinental champion in the past. He was previously released in 2010 and had made a one-off appearance at the 2021 Royal Rumble. The response to his 2023 return at Backlash, Puerto Rico, compelled the company to sign him for another run.
The star then aligned with Rey Mysterio in his newly reformed LWO faction, whom he eventually betrayed and joined The Judgment Day.
The veteran star has been a mainstay and often a part of the stable that provides several laughs, and was last seen in a WWE ring during the 2025 edition of Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Carlito Wins Singles Championship Outside WWE
In a situation that seems very bittersweet, Carlito was recently crowned the WWC Puerto Rico Champion at their Summer Madness event. World Wrestling Council is a promotion owned by Carlito’s father, a WWE Hall of Famer, Carlos Colon. You can read more about his win here.
We wish Carlito all the best in his future, as the veteran seems nowhere close to being done wrestling.
