Just a few hours after R-Truth and Carlito’s WWE exit, another popular star has been released.
Yesterday, the wrestling world suffered a shock when former champions R-Truth and Carlito were suddenly released by the promotion. In two social media posts written by Truth and Carlito, it was revealed that the promotion had decided to let the two stars’ contracts expire and not renew them.
As several fans and current stars mourned their exit from the company, Sarah Rowe, aka Valhalla, has now announced her farewell as well. In a deeply emotional message, Rowe announced the WWE’s decision not to renew her contract, resulting in her imminent departure. Sharing the note on Instagram, she wrote:
“Dear wrestling,
I come to you with tears in my eyes cause our time has come to a sudden end. WWE informed me yesterday that they are letting my contract expire. To be completely honest my ego can’t help but be damaged. You always assume that when you end a lifelong career there is going to be a grand exit. But here I am, using the notes app on my phone typing up a goodbye letter to an entity that will forget I was even there. I truly take no offense to this, my career as it was is getting usurped by my vocation and it’s all on a Divine timeline that I I trust deeply.
I’ll definitely miss you but know I’ll be taken care of by my wonderful husband, by the land you provided for me and alongside the children I’ve made along the way. I’m going to take off the weight of being a superstar and let myself soar being just Sarah.
She’s been growing on me and it’s time I let her fully cultivate. I love all the people you’ve brought into my life but my social media page won’t be about you anymore. It will share only the parts of me that I wish and none of that will be wrestling. I’m more of a clean break kinda girl and the other calls to me will be taking my full attention. With all my love, Sarah.”

As Rowe penned her farewell note, several prominent stars reacted to the heartbreaking news in the comment section. This string of rapid three releases comes just within a month of the 17 major releases that occurred in early May, this year.
A former Riot Squad member, she later stepped away from professional wrestling before making her return in 2022 as Valhalla and joining forces with The War Raiders.
Rowe is married to Erik of the Viking Raiders and has been off television since early 2024. She gave birth in November 2024.
Triple H Revealed As The Reason Behind R-Truth And Carlito’s Recent Exit
In a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared his reaction to Carlito and R-Truth’s recent exits. However, he also noted how the picks were Triple H’s decision.
“There’s numbers. They’re looking at the numbers, and they’re looking at how many do we have to cut, or how much money do we have to cut. And those were the picks. Those were the [Paul “Triple H”] Levesque picks, and that’s what it is.”
