AEW’s Willow Nightingale Names Major Goal: “I Do Not Feel Fulfilled”

AEW Star Willow Nightingale Captures Gold In Mexico

Former TBS Champion Willow Nightingale wants more gold in AEW and ROH.

Willow Nightingale is no stranger to championship gold. Nightingale famously became the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion when Mercedes Mone suffered an injury in their tournament match, and she became CMLL World Women’s Champion in July of 2024.

Nightingale also became the AEW TBS Champion when she defeated Julia Hart at Dynasty in April of 2024. However, her TBS Championship reign was short-lived as she lost the title to Mercedes Mone at Double or Nothing the next month.

Speaking in a new interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Nightingale spoke about her goals for the future, admitting that she wants to recapture the TBS Title as her reign did not leave her fulfilled.

“If you think about it, like I was TBS Champ for a month, I do not feel fulfilled. I want to get it back. So Mercedes is definitely on the radar.”

Willow Nightingale Wants To Capture The ROH Women’s Championship

Continuing, Willow Nightingale pointed to the Ring of Honor Women’s Championship as another major goal she’d like to achieve, admitting she’s disappointed that she’s failed to capture the title in the past.

“The Ring of Honor Women’s Champion was something that was always something that kind of like, something that kind of like, evaded me. Roxanne [Perez], who was Rok-C at the time, had it; I tried to beat her. That didn’t work. I tried to beat Mercedes [Martinez] to win, it didn’t work.

So I do not have a good streak. I do not have a good record when it comes to the Ring of Honor Women’s Championship. So that’s also something that I’m like, ‘It would be really nice to feel that and finally, one day, get it.'”

In recent news, it has been reported that recently released AEW stars requested their release from the company.
