Eddie Kingston updated fans on his progress following surgery in July.
At NJPW Resurgence on May 11th, Eddie Kingston faced off against Gabe Kidd for the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship. The bad blood between the pair came to a head as the match become a brutal war. In the end, it was Kidd who emerged with the gold after dropping Kingston through a table on the outside.

Afterwards, The Mad King could be seen to be limping through the post-match angle and was later said to be limping “bad” backstage.
