A top AEW star has promoted themselves over Mercedes Mone.
Making her debut last year on the Jacksonville-based promotion, Mone quickly rose to the top. As the current TBS Champion, Mone has been successfully involved in various feuds against several stars.
However, Women’s Champion Mariah May believes herself to be a bigger name than the CEO. Recently speaking to Going Ringside, May declared herself a bigger star than Mone and further commented on how she could keep all of her current titles since none of them are World championships.
“I mean, I’m here doing this, not her, for a reason because I’m a bigger star and I’m the world champion. She can have all these titles because she needs to because none of them are the world title.”

At All In 2024, May defeated Toni Storm to win her first AEW Women’s Championship. She is now scheduled to defend her title against Storm at Grand Slam Australia next month.
Mercedes Mone Claims This AEW Star’s Growth Has ‘Been Nothing Short Of Inspiring’
Recently writing in her Mone Mag Newsletter, Mercedes Mone heaped praises on Australian star Harley Cameron. Despite her inability to win a singles match on television, Mone believes Cameron has improved a lot.
“Her growth in the ring has been nothing short of inspiring. I know she puts in the hard work, traveling to various wrestling schools across Florida and soaking up knowledge from anyone she can connect with backstage at AEW. So, it’s no surprise that she has the guts to pursue the Moné Train—it’s hard not to when you’re holding four belts!”
