AEW World Title Match Called Off, Adam Page Injured & Stretchered Out

Hangman Adam Page

The AEW World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page came to a shocking conclusion as the referee called an early end to the contest.

The main event was a stunningly hard-hitting affair with the two combatants brawling long before the opening bell rang. Adam Page came to the ring first, but cut off Moxley in the crowd before he even made it to the ring. As chaos descended, Moxley suffered a cut and was bleeding heavily by the time the opening bell sounded.

Once in the ring there was no let up in the intensity from both men. Each had opportunities to win but the action never slowed.

However, the match came to an early and frankly scary conclusion. Jon Moxley exploded out of the corner with a monster King Kong Lariat which flipped the challenger inside out. As Moxley gathered himself the referee and the ringside doctor went to check on Page and quickly called a halt to the action.

Jon Moxley was declared the winner but attention quickly turned to the welfare of Adam Page. The star wasn’t shown again in the ring, and replays of the incident were also not played. As the challenger was tended to, hype packages were shown for Rampage, with Page leaving on a stretcher to chants of “cowboy sh*t from the crowd.”

Back in the ring Moxley cut a promo saying that he hoped Page would be alright and able to live a full life and play with his kid in the future.

The AEW World Champion proceeded to lay down a challenge to MJF who looked like he would accept before revealing that he will face Moxley at Full Gear. MJF and William Regal had gotten into a war of words earlier in the show which only added to the tension.

Everyone at Inside The Ropes would like to send their best wishes to Adam Page. We will continue to update this story as it develops.
