AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Returning Ahead Of Full Gear

Held annually since 2020, the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament has been a staple of the Full Gear pay-per-view. In previous years, Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson have emerged victorious from the gruelling field of eight, challenging for the AEW World Championship vs. Jon Moxley and Adam Page, respectively.

The tournament is returning for a third year, with the finals scheduled for AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 19. As of this writing, an official start date for the tournament has not been detailed. Whoever wins will earn a World Championship contest on the special Winter Is Coming broadcast of Dynamite, which this year is slated for December 14.

Only two entrants have thus far been declared for the brackets, those being Dante Martin and Ethan Page, who’ll collide in the quarterfinals. The remaining six entrants will be revealed in due course.

AEW Full Gear 2022: The Card So Far

As it stands, only two other matches are confirmed for AEW Full Gear. Headlining the show is MJF challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, which sees MJF using the opportunity gained from winning the Casino Ladder match at All Out. ‘The Salt of the Earth’ appears to be going into the bout as a babyface, based on an apparent turn on Dynamite.

The AEW World Tag Team Championships will also be on the line, as The Acclaimed defend against former champions Swerve In Our Glory. The pairing of Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee earned the right to challenge Max Caster and Anthony Bowens when they defeated FTR on the October 26 Dynamite.
