AEW World Tag Team Title Match Set August 18th Dynamite

The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against the Jurassic Express on the August 18th edition of AEW Dynamite.

Jurassic Express have been on something of a roll of late picking up three wins in a row. One of those wins saw Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus join with Christian Cage to defeat The Hardy Family Office.

In recent weeks the team have formed a powerful alliance with Cage, which has seen all involved thrust themselves into title contention.

On the August 11th episode of Dynamite, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks were in action alongside Kenny Omega taking on the Sydal Brothers and Dante Martin. Prior to the match it was announced that Cage will meet Omega for his AEW World Championship at All Out, but the announcements were far from over.

As Don Callis began to address the crowd after The Elite picked up the win, the manager was interrupted by Cage, but Cage didn’t come alone. The number one contender for the World Title hit the ring alongside the Jurassic Express.

After it was announced that Cage will face Omega for his IMPACT crown on the premiere of Rampage, Jungle Boy had a surprise for The Young Bucks. As the trio were heading up the ramp, Jungle Boy revealed that the Jurassic Express will face the Bucks next week.

The Young Bucks have held the AEW Tag Team Titles since defeating FTR at Full Gear in 2020.

While their most recent defence came against Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo at Road Rage in a Street Fight. The match came after Kingston and Penta had actually defeated The Young Bucks on Dynamite the week before.
