AEW Women’s World Championship Match Set For AEW All Out

Wrestling News from Inside the Ropes

It has been announced that Britt Baker will defend her AEW Women’s World Championship at AEW All Out on September 5th.

After Britt Baker defended her championship against Red Velvet on the debut episode of Rampage she continued the beatdown on her challenger after the bell. With Baker putting the boots to Velvet, Kris Statlander who had been watching in the front row, jumped the rail to get a piece of the champion.

Just as Statlander got the advantage she was jumped by a returning Jamie Hayter. It was later confirmed that Hayter is All Elite and she has continued to appear by the side of Britt Baker.

While Baker has been defending her championship, Statlander has been in impressive form since returning in April after missing ten months of action with a serious knee injury. Since getting back in the ring, Statlander has risen to the top of AEW’s Women’s rankings with a 16-match winning steak.

As a result, on Dynamite it was announced that Statlander will challenge Baker at AEW All Out.

On Dynamite it was also confirmed that Chris Jericho will put his career on the line against MJF on September 5th.
