AEW’s latest pay-per-view Double or Nothing is fast approaching and the May 17th edition of Dynamite saw multiple matches added to the Las Vegas event.
Several huge matches were confirmed for the PPV such as Wardlow challenging Christian Cage for the TNT Championship in a Ladder Match. Also made official was the Blackjack Battle Royal for the AEW International Championship in which Orange Cassidy will defend the title against twenty soon-to-be-announced competitors.
The show also saw the return of Adam Hangman Page to rejoin The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega in their collective battle against the Blackpool Combat Club. The Elite reunion then led to the confirmation of the Anarchy in the Arena match between the two factions at Double or Nothing.
Another championship match was made during the taping, which will see the Women’s title on the line.
Toni Storm Challenged Jamie Hayter For The Women’s Title At AEW Double Or Nothing
Dynamite saw another dominant performance by the Outcasts – Ruby Soho and Toni Storm in which the dastardly trio defeated Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida. The match was originally set to be a six-woman tag, however, the Women’s World Champion was pulled from the show due to injury.
Following the win the former Women’s Champion, Storm officially challenged Jamie Hayter to a rematch for the title at the PPV on Sunday, May 28th.
Hayter and Storm have a long history. As well as coming up through the wrestling ranks together it was Hayter who defeated Storm at Full Gear last year to become champion. After losing the title Storm joined forces with Saraya and began taking out her revenge on the champ, Baker and the entire women’s roster.
